Meet Your Trainers – SisterShip Training
We’re Jackie and Noel Parry, the trainers behind SisterShip Training. With decades of experience on the water, we’re passionate about sharing safe and practical boating knowledge to help you enjoy your time on the water with confidence.
As qualified maritime instructors, we specialise in guiding students through the NSW boat licence course and boat safety training. Our teaching style is friendly, supportive, and focused on making sure you understand not just the rules, but also the real-world skills you’ll use on the water.
From coastal cruising to inland waterways, we’ve trained hundreds of boaters of all ages and experience levels. Whether you’re aiming for your boat licence, or simply want to build confidence in your boating skills, we’ll be with you every step of the way.
At SisterShip Training, our goal is simple: to make learning safe boating skills enjoyable, practical, and memorable — so you can get out on the water and make the most of life in NSW.

We’ve been on the high seas for 25 years prior to moving to Brogo in 2017 where we built our own house and set up SisterShip Training (Jackie also cares for 4 rescued horses and 3 rescued sheep and trail rides when she can, Noel likes cruising on his motorbike – of course we both like sailing our yacht that is based in Eden and now offer International Accredited Yacht Training: here.
You are unlikely to find more experienced trainers, teaching Boat Licencing.
- We both completed our Master 4 Ticket (at the time it was to skipper vessels 80 metres in length
- We are both qualified Master 5 skippers (Masters < 24 metres)
- Noel is a Marine Surveyor
- Jackie has completed advanced international safety training (STCW95/CoST)
- We train commercial skippers/Deckhands
- We’ve traversed many oceans, completed hundreds of bar crossings, puttered through the French Canals (twice), circumnavigated the planet 1.5 times, and traversed The Great Loop in America
- We have both been training maritime for over 20 years!

In addition, we fulfil the legal requirements with Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment, valid Working with Children Checks, Police Checks, Advanced First Aid, and we are accredited by Transport NSW to deliver the NSW boat and PWC (Jet Ski) licence course.
We are required to keep our qualifications/experience up to date.
